Officially launched at the R\u00e9tromobile show in February 2026, IDEC SPORT LEGEND is the new historic racing program developed by IDEC SPORT to revive the golden age of endurance racing and motorsports. True to the DNA of performance and passion that drives the team in modern endurance racing, this new initiative dedicated to historic cars has immediately found its place in the world of international historic racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project enjoyed a groundbreaking first weekend at Spa-Francorchamps and the Grand Prix Historique du Castellet. Between a first podium finish in Legends Of Le Mans by Peter Auto, a standout performance in historic Formula 1, and an undiminished passion shared by the entire team, IDEC SPORT LEGEND is already confirming its ambition: to bring the heritage of motorsport to life on Europe\u2019s most beautiful circuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Historic First Podium in Legends Of Le Mans at Spa-Francorchamps<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the legendary Belgian circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, IDEC SPORT LEGEND secured its very first podium finish in Legends Of Le Mans by Peter Auto with the Ligier JSP2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a series launched in 2026 by Peter Auto, the ACO, and Le Mans Endurance Management to bring back iconic prototypes and GTs from the 2000s to the 2010s, the French team immediately demonstrated its competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a challenging first race, the team bounced back perfectly in the second race thanks to a solid strategy and a steady pace, finishing in 2nd<\/sup> place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexandre Leroy reflects on this intense race: \u201cThe pace was really fast, and the team asked me to push all the way to the end to secure our position. In the end, it was a great race, an effective strategy, and a podium finish to boot.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This first result marks an important milestone in the development of IDEC SPORT LEGEND and confirms the potential of the historic program launched by IDEC SPORT a few months earlier at R\u00e9tromobile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Lafargue discovers historic Formula 1 at Le Castellet<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the Belgian event, IDEC SPORT LEGEND also competed in the French Historic Grand Prix at Le Castellet with Paul Lafargue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his very first experience behind the wheel of a historic Formula 1 car, with no prior testing, Paul Lafargue immediately adapted to Jochen Mass\u2019s 1982 March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facing a field of 27 competitors, he secured a remarkable 12th place on the grid before staging a superb comeback during the race to finish in 6th position. Despite a collision late in the race, he ultimately finished 9th, a performance applauded by the entire paddock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This debut perfectly embodies the spirit of IDEC SPORT LEGEND: bringing legendary cars back to life while offering drivers an authentic and passionate experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just days before Spa, the IDEC SPORT team shone in the European Le Mans Series at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet with a double finish in the Top 4, confirming its competitiveness in the ELMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heading to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Le Mans Classic<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this successful launch, IDEC SPORT LEGEND is now preparing for one of the season\u2019s major events: Le Mans Classic<\/strong>, scheduled for early July at the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. The Legends Of Le Mans series will hold one of its flagship rounds there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, IDEC SPORT RACING will continue its modern endurance racing program with the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 13 and 14, 2026<\/strong>. The #28 car will be driven by Paul Lafargue, Valerio Rinicella, and Job Van Uitert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
